The OVMRC annual Christmas Dinner is planned for 18:00, Thursday, 17 December at Louis Steak House, 1682 Cyrville Road (location / directions).
Reservations are required to get the best cost per person. Please contact Sandy (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your intent to attend and the number of people attending with you.
If there are over 30 attendees the cost of their wonderful buffet is $25 per person. Ordering off the house menu will also be an option.
The Ottawa Valley Mobile Radio Club (OVMRC) will, again, host an entertaining and talent laden Christmas Variety Show at 2000 hrs. on Thursday, December 14th, 2000 in the auditorium of the National Museum of Science and Technology, 1867 St. Laurent Blvd., in Ottawa. All amateurs, their friends, wives and family are welcome to attend this free gala evening of music, song and merriment. The theme of this year’s show will be music from some period between the roaring 20’s and the nimble 90’s. You are cordially invited to enjoy the entertainment in the comfort of the 260 upholstered seat theatre. And to add to the festive evening, Christmas refreshments will be served outside the auditorium immediately following the show.

VARIETY SHOW ‘99

The Ottawa Valley Mobile Radio Club Variety Show (OVMRC) will present an entertaining evening of musicians, singers, skits and much fun and laughter for your enjoyment. The show is free and open to all amateurs, their friends and family and will be held in the auditorium of the National Museum of Science and Technology, St. Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, Ontario.
Produced by members of the Amateur radio club and Directed by Ken Barry VE3KJB with help from many others, the variety show will feature a host of entertainers for your enjoyment. The lineup of stars includes: Garth Hampson, tenor singer, with his “Laughter in Song”, Roger Norman, professional crooner with “Favourite Oldies”, Graham Bennett and Larry Wilcox, two “amateurs” with their soon to be famous skit “Ham and Eggs”. Following a short intermission, you will be entertained by Jenna Baggs, an amateur’s relative “Budding Star”, Maurice-Andre Vigneault and Barb Penny on piano, with their “QSO Show”, Garry Mennie a popular Celtic Musician, and finally the High Horizon’s Trio of singers with their selection of songs.
Christmas refreshments will be available immediately after the show, compliments of the OVMRC. You are invited to celebrate an evening designed especially for the holiday season!
