OVMRC 50th ANNIVERSARY TRANSMITTER AND BUNNY HUNT

Notice to all Hunters From Maurice Andre VE3VIG:

If you would like to test and calibrate your 80m DF antenna, come to the Science Museum parking grounds on Saturday Nov 10, 2007 from 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM.

I will be there with a transmitter on 3.760 MHz at the 1 watt level to help you do that. I will be available from 10am to 4pm. When no one is testing during that period I will be waiting for you at the VE3JW station inside the museum monitoring VE3TWO.

Bunny Hunt Contest Info:

  • Target #1 – 80 m – 10 watts Transmitter Locate for 10 points.
  • Target #2 – 2 m – 1 watt Bunny in the Bush Locate for 10 points.

Note: Find the 80m TX, and the 2m Bunny is in the same Grid Square.

Frequencies: 3.760 and 146.580 MHz

Additional points:

  • First arrival at the TX = 10, then 8, 6, 5 > 1.
  • First arrival at the Bunny = 10, 8, 6, 5 > 1.

Start: Anywhere Coordination on VE3TWO 147.300 (+)

Boundaries as follows: Within Grid Squares: FN25dk, FN25ek, FN25dj, FN25ej
